Regaleali Estate, established in 1830, is the heart and home of the Tasca d’Almerita family. This historic estate serves as a thriving agricultural hub and an open-air laboratory for viticulture, where innovative cultivation and winemaking techniques are developed and refined. It is a place where Sicily’s native grape varieties are celebrated alongside international ones. Here, Catarratto, Inzolia, Grillo, Nerello Mascalese, Perricone and Nero d’Avola grow in harmony with Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, creating a perfect balance of tradition and experimentation. Today, Regaleali cultivates 25 grape varieties, showcasing its rich diversity.
Since 2001, the estate has been led by Alberto Tasca d’Almerita, who is committed to strengthening its historic dedication to quality and innovation.

390 Hectares Under Vine
Nestled in a lush, rolling landscape with countless shades of green, the Regaleali Estate spans elevations ranging from 400 to 900 meters above sea level. The estate enjoys abundant sunlight and significant temperature variation between day and night, preserving the aromatic richness of its grapes.
Covering nearly 550 hectares, with around 390 under vine and over 1.6 million vines, the estate benefits from a unique combination of climate, soil compositions, exposures and altitudes. These conditions create a mosaic of microclimates, allowing each grape variety to thrive in its ideal habitat and fully express its character.
This mix of environmental, genetic and human factors determines the quality of Regaleali wines, their vintage variations and their distinctive structure. The estate’s white wines are known for their expansive aromatic profile, freshness and brightness, while its red wines are celebrated for their depth, rich fruitiness and exceptional longevity. Every wine is crafted exclusively from grapes grown within the estate, sourced either from a single vineyard or a blend of multiple vineyards, all nestled within Regaleali’s borders.

This achievement has been strongly supported by SOStain, the certified sustainability protocol for Sicilian viticulture. Since 2010, Tasca d’Almerita has adhered to SOStain’s ten measurable and comparable sustainability requirements, verified by an independent third party.

A Timeless Sanctuary of Nature and Tradition
For nearly two centuries, Tenuta Regaleali has been the beating heart of the Tasca d’Almerita family, a place rich in history and tradition that goes far beyond winemaking.
This corner of Sicily is a vibrant mosaic of historic vineyards, pastures, olive groves, cultivated fields, wildflowers and aromatic herbs. Here, ancient grains are cultivated for bread and pasta, Comisana sheep graze freely and extra virgin olive oil is produced from centuries-old olive trees that define the landscape. The estate is home to rainwater reservoirs and lush gardens surrounding 19th-century farmhouses. Thanks to its remarkable biodiversity and deep-rooted farming heritage, Tenuta Regaleali is often called an “open-air university”, where every bottle of wine tells the story of this remarkable land.
