Founded in 2004, Nino Barraco’s “artisan of wine” estate is nestled among vineyards with a stunning terrace overlooking the Riserva Naturale dello Stagnone and the Egadi Islands. The winery’s mission is to craft wines that embody the distinctiveness of native Sicilian grape varieties and the unique character of the land, drawing inspiration from the local farming traditions and Marsala’s rich winemaking heritage. Here, wine is made purely from grapes, honoring the old ways. These wines are not “perfect”, but rather stand out for their personality, telling the story of Sicily and, in particular, these lands, all while adhering to certified organic practices.

Blending Heritage with Modern Winemaking
With every harvest across nearly 20 hectares of vineyards planted primarily with Grillo, Catarratto and Zibibbo, Nino Barraco’s winery continues to balance research, experimentation and innovation. These vineyards, divided into several plots with calcareous and sandy soils, stretch from Marsala to Castelvetrano. Each season, the winery builds upon the foundation of previous work without overhauling it, meticulously overseeing every step of the process from grape cultivation to winemaking and bottling.
Guided tours offer a glimpse into the winemaking area and a stroll through the vineyards, culminating in a wine tasting that highlights the unique identity of each grape variety and the land it grows on.

– Possibility of tours outside the standard days and times
– Two tasting options: five labels or “Wine and Food Walk” (tasting of five labels with accompaniment of local and seasonal products)
– Choice of wines “ad hoc ” for the tasting
– For groups of more than 5 people, the choice of wines for tasting is recommended at the time of booking
